Designwrite Studios offers cities and other government entities affordable, custom solutions for resident-friendly websites.
Known for reducing web development budgets, Designwrite Studios first teamed up with the City of Savage, Minnesota, in 2008 to produce the city's website using Joomla, the open source content management system. The project was a success, and within a few months, the city was up and running, almost completely independent of Designwrite support. It didn't take long for other Twin Cities metro cities to adopt one of the open source platforms for city web development.
These city and county websites were built using either Joomla or Drupal, both open source content management systems.
