Upload files to the media manager

  1. Go to https://www.yourdomainname.com/administrator (example: https://www.designwritestudios.com/administrator)

    1. Type your username and password in the spaces provided

    2. Either press enter or click the ‘Login’ button

  1. Find the ‘Site’ tab at the top left of your screen

    1. Hover your mouse over ‘Site’ and locate the option ‘Media Manager’

    2. Click on ‘Media Manager’


Now you are at the ‘Media Manager’

  1. Locate the folder along the left side labeled ‘stories’ and click on it

  2. Find the folder your document or media file most appropriately fits under along the left side under the ‘stories’ folder. (Ex. You may have a folder labeled ‘documents’ or ‘employee photos’)

    1. Click on that folder

  3. At the bottom the page, find the ‘browse’ button and click on it


A box with your own computer directory will popup

  1. Find the file you want to upload from your computer

    1. Click on the document/photo title

  2. Locate the ‘Open’ button at the bottom right of the box and click on it


Your file information will appear in the box next to the ‘browse’ button

  1. Find the button labeled ‘start upload’ to the right of the ‘browse’ button at the bottom of the page

    1. Click on the ‘start upload’ button


Once your file has uploaded,

  1. Locate the box below the word ‘Files’ near the top

    1. Find the word ‘images’ within the box

    2. Write down the information from the word ‘images’ on to the right (Ex. images/stories/documents)

    3. Add a forward slash (/) after the last word

    4. Then add the title of your file after the forward slash (Ex. Resume09.pdf)

    5. This is your location URL for inserting into articles (Ex. images/stories/documents/Resume09.pdf)


Note: the location URL is case sensitive


You have uploaded your media file!
