Password protect an article

** Note: This requires a specific functionality to be installed for your site. Please contact your Website Administrator if you are unsure if this functionality is installed for your site.

  1. Go to https://www.yourdomainname.com/administrator (example: https://www.designwritestudios.com/administrator)

    1. Type your username and password in the spaces provided

    2. Either press enter or click the ‘Login’ button


You are currently viewing the ‘Control Panel’

  1. Find the text ‘Article Manager’ on the left-hand side of screen

    1. Click on ‘Article Manager’


Now you are at the ‘Article Manager’

  1. Find the article you would like to Password Protect by either:

    1. Typing the title in ‘Filter’ box on the left and pressing enter or;

    2. Searching through the listing below the ‘Filter’ box

  2. Click on the ‘Title’ of your article


This is the ‘Article’ view

  1. Go to the bottom of the text box with your article information

    1. Click in the box at the end of all the information in the article

    2. Enter the following: {password XYZ}

* Where XYZ is the password you want to use


  1. Locate the green check-mark icon at the top-right of your screen with the text ‘Apply’ along the bottom

    1. Click the ‘Apply’ icon


  1. Check your work by locating and clicking the ‘Preview’ link at the top right.


You have Password Protected your article!
