The City of Savage Minnesota made a daring move when they selected Designwrite Studios to execute a new website using the popular open source software, Joomla. The website is an excellent showcase of the power of Joomla, featuring several of the open source components and modules that make this CMS one of the most popular systems globally.

The City of Savage website boasts a few features designed to bring web readers to the most relevant city information quickly and with flare. The Timely Topics tab is allows visitors to review seasonal information at a glance, while the sliding front page tabs highlight current news from a variety of departments. Pics of the Month is a simple showcase for citizen photography.

Savage easily integrated asp scripted program guides into menu-driven pages and is looking to further integrate other custom code to provide users with seamless access to a variety of information delivered by multiple providers.

Hosted in-house by an outstanding IT department, this site was an absolute delight to design and customize.
