Designwrite Studios worked with Boston Scientific to produce an hour-long written training module on the history of automation in the medical device industry, with specific historical relevancy related to Boston Scientific corporate development since the early 1950s. The material was developed to be a self-guided learning module providing background information for additional training.
Designwrite worked closely with key content area experts to research and develop the piece. Specific development tasks included:
- Literature research about medical device development in the United States and Europe
- Literature research about the development of automation in manufacturing, including medical device manufacturing
- Individual and small group interviews about the history of Boston Scientific
- Writing and scripting for a one-hour presentation of all content
- Graphic design and photography
- Flash development
The piece was deployed on the Plateau learning management system for Boston Scientific.
